There's gonna be a couple of little stories:
1. Frustration
On your marks.. GO! Dive in the water for a 50 sprint. The dive sucks is the first thing I think, but I can't spend too much time about that, because I'm losing my breath and have to get up and sprint. I look to the right and see Nolan. 'Fuck you, Nolan, swimming in your clothes,' is the first thing I think. Flipturn! I'm getting good at it! Strokes are starting to hurt. It is the 6th 'all-out' sprint, so I'm not suprised. I look to the left: The clothes are getting further away. How is that possible? Finally, I'm there. I hear the coach yell 25, 26. That means I did a good job, I'm getting faster! Then I realise that Nolan probably swam a 24 in his clothes and I get frustrated. I gotta work harder!
2. A Costco Disaster
It's sunday. The weather is beautiful. I wake up at 12, just had a party, which was awesome of course, because it was at Elliotts #6, our place. 'What's the plan,' I ask. We're cleaning up today! 3 hours later we're sitting on the couch and realising that the apartment never looked better. We did a good job! We also noticed that we're completely out of food for the first time, so we need to go to Costco (The Makro of America). Jake is willing to drive us, with a broken arm of course, and Justin needs to go too, so we can use his card. We go there and it's huge. Everything we like goes into our cart and we end up with 3 carts, I mean, there's 4 guys living in one place, we eat a lot. When we're ready to pay, Justin messes up and as it continues, we need to pay for our own card. I sweep my card through that thing and it says:'Card not accepted.' I try again, and again, but we have to adjust our groceries to the ammount of cash that I have on me, so we need to make it from 400 to 190 bucks. Travis and I get frustrated, while Justin and Jake are laughing at us. Then, Justin comes up with the best idea. We're litterally 4 feet away from an ATM -.-' I go to the ATM and get cash, pay and get the hell out of there. It took us more than 2 hours to do some groceries, I mean what?
3. Fifa 12
It's wednesday. There's an Econ exam tomorrow, I gotta study! It's more than 100 degrees in our apartment, so I'm sitting outside. I've only been studying for like 10 minutes and Trevor smashes the door open, hella excited, with Fifa 12 in his hands. It got in the store September 27th. Wait, it IS September 27th! I gotta play this! It's fifa 12! Suddenly there's hella people in our place, which makes it even hotter. No shirts is the rule, too bad the girls don't care about that, but I can't pay attention to the girls right now, there's something way more important going on right now: FIFA 12! We play a couple of games and when I'm done, most of the people are gone. I didn't even notice them leaving. Studying didn't happen anymore, but the exam wen't well, so I have no complaints.
4. Thanks for speaking English!
Last saturday, we had a tournament at West Valley College. That's one of the best water polo teams in America, and therefor one of the best teams in the world. Words from our coach are inspiring: 'They're gonna rape you'. First we have to play De Anza and all I hope is to get some playing time, which I get. I play, timewise, about 2 quarters, so I'm quite content. We played like shit though, but we won with 6 to 5 and I drew a 5-meters, which Cavin missed. Our coach is pissed, and yells at us after the game, but whatever, a win is a win. We got 30 minutes to eat and rest a little, and then it's West Valley time. We hear that there's almost no American player on the team and that the starting 6 all swims under 47 seconds at the 100 freestyle. That scares us, but I'm feeling great and I'm gonna kick some West Valley ass! When I come in, the first thing I do is make a good steal and play well at set, but don't make a goal. I'm improving is the first thing I think :) Second time I get in, I play at 5 and post up. While posting up, I pull the string of #19 of the other team and rip his cap of, for what he gently kicks me in the nuts. That made a connection for the rest of the game, where we fight everytime we see eachother. We lost 11-4 from West Valley, but we played pretty good. The spectators thank us for the game 'Good Job, Santa Rosa, you played a good game!' 'Thanks a lot!', I response. 'Thank you for speaking English', they said.
5. 'Nice tit/ass combination haha'
On our way back from the tournament, a couple of very hot girls are in the car behind us. So my idea was to write our phone number on a piece of paper and show it to them. Nolan does it, but they can't read it, so we use our hands. They call us and Nolan talks to them for a little while. Then Ben grabs the phone and say, can you flash us a little? They consider it for a couple of minutes and it gets funny. Then they suddenly pass us and Jesse decides to moon them while not having a shirt on. The last thing we heard of them was a text, saying: 'Nice tit/ass combination haha'. It was hilarious though. =)
6. How to give a party.
On our way back from the tournament Jesse says: 'Dance Party at the Hampad!' Suddenly everybody knows that there's a party going on at our place that night, while we didn't even know, but it's cool, because it's gonna be a good time :) It all ended up at our place. There were so many people, it was crazy! Loud music, dancing, drinks, a good time. Suddenly there were a lot of people I didn't know, but they were cool, so I didn't care. We had to stop the party at 3, because our landlord texted us that she was gonna call the police if the party wasn't over in 30 minutes, but it was a good time. I ended up sleaping on a beanbag-chair in my living room at 5am.
